Ah... Why is my life so unfortunate?

Simple MythologyEdit

Only child of King Menelaus of Sparta and his wife, Helen of Troy, she was betrothed to Orestes by her grandfather but promised to Neoptolemus by her father and married Neoptolemus instead. When there was conflict with Andromache (who became a concubine to Neoptolemus), Hermione blamed Andromache for her own infertility, and when her father wouldn't kill Andromache, Hermione decided to run away and elope with Orestes (and did bear a child).
